Dr. Scalley grew up in Toronto, Ohio, which is a small town on the Ohio River. She graduated from Toronto High School in 2002 as Valedictorian of her class. She went on to attend Otterbein College, a small liberal arts school in Westerville, Ohio, which is just outside of Columbus. She graduated from Otterbein cum laude and with honors in 2006 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Life Science. She then went on to study optometry at The Ohio State University and received her Doctor of Optometry Degree in June 2011. Dr. Scalley joined Sunrise Vision Clinic in July 2011.
At Otterbein, Dr. Scalley was an active member of Theta Nu sorority, Alpha Epsilon Delta honorary, Alpha Lambda Delta honorary and Mortar Board Senior Honor Society. While at Ohio State, she was an active member of the Epsilon Psi Epsilon fraternity and enjoyed attending the Ohio State basketball and football games.
Dr. Scalley is currently welcoming patients of all ages. She treats a wide variety of ocular conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, dry eye, amblyopia, and keratoconus. She enjoys fitting patients into different types of contact lenses, including those for astigmatism and multifocal lenses.
Dr. Scalley moved to Zanesville in July of 2012 after living in the Columbus area for nine years. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, knitting, crocheting, baking, and playing with her four dogs.
